In the linking text from other sites try include the keywords you choosed earlier in the outer links.

Second Part: is the page-ranking system where Google counts how many times the site has been linked from other sites (You can view the page-rank of our site by downloading Google Toolbar, beside that Google toolbar it has a two small faces the first one {the smiley one} gives the viewed site a positive vote and the other {the sad one} gives the viewed page a negative vote. Positive votes increase the rank of the page.

"Google looks at more than the sheer volume of votes, or links a page receives; it also analyzes the page that casts the vote. Votes cast by pages that are themselves "important" weigh more heavily and help to make other pages "important."

Google pagerank system also takes into account the number of links the page that has linked to your site has, and the rank of this page. Pages with high rank and few links and include link to your site will give your page a high rank than site with high rank and has 100 links in it with one link to your site.

There is a factor called damping factor which is the amount of others page-rank which can actually pass on when they vote / link to your site. The damping factor is widely known to be 0.85 this is a little less then the linking pages own page-rank.

Page-Rank(A) = (1-d) + d(Page-Rank(t1)/Count-links(t1) + ... + Page-Rank(tn)/Count-Links(tn))

Page-Rank(A): The rank your site will get after being linked from other sites: t1, t2,,, tn.
Count-Links(t1): is the amount of total links that site t1 has plus the link that point to your site.
Vote: pages voting power is only 0.85 of that pages actual Page-Rank and this voting power gets spread out evenly between all sites it links to.
The Page-Rank of the linking page important but what is also important is how many other sites are also linked / voted for from that page.

Conclusion

Have your main keywords and phrases in the TITLE tag and well spread throughout your site page's.

Get as many links from as many high Page-Ranking low numbers of outbound links pages as possible you can, to see how many and what sites are linking to your site you need to type link:yourdomain.com in the search field of Google site.

GET LISTED IN DMOZ.ORG, Yahoo and Looksmart (for noncommercial sites).

Tips & Tricks:

Have other relevant sites link to your site.

Submit it to Google at http://www.google.com/addurl.html.

Submit a Sitemap as part of our Google webmaster tools. Google Sitemaps uses the sitemap to learn about the structure of the site and to increase Google coverage of your site.

Make sure all the sites, which should know about the pages in your site, are aware the site and all its pages are online.

Submit your site to relevant directories such as the Open Directory Project and Yahoo!, as well as to other industry-specific expert sites.

Make the site map, to your site users, with links that point to the important parts of the site, make it more user friendly, and break the site map into separate pages if it has too many links.

Handle external links by putting the 'nofollow' attribute in the link.
